Predict chiller and AHU failures before they happen
Vibration, temperature, and acoustic sensors on rotating HVAC assets provide early warning of bearing wear, impeller imbalance, and refrigerant issues.

What the sensors measure
Vibration (FFT)
3-axis MEMS accelerometer with on-device FFT processing. Frequency spectrum transmitted as a condensed signature rather than raw samples. Detects bearing fault frequencies (BPFO/BPFI), unbalance, and looseness.
Surface temperature
Magnetic-mount NTC thermistor reads compressor housing and bearing housing temperature. Rising temperature correlated with vibration anomalies increases alert confidence.
Acoustic emission
High-frequency acoustic sensor detects cavitation, valve chatter, and refrigerant leak hiss. Contact microphone mounted via waveguide rod; no airborne acoustic — captures only structure-borne emissions.
Alerting
From sensor to work order
MeshOS threshold alerts can connect to your CMMS via webhook. A vibration anomaly generates an alert record with sensor ID, asset tag, severity, and the FFT signature for your maintenance engineer.
-
Sensor reading arrives at gateway
Thread mesh delivers FFT + temperature payload every 60 seconds
-
MeshOS evaluates against alert rules
Configurable thresholds per asset type and per frequency band
-
Alert fires to CMMS webhook
JSON payload with asset ID, timestamp, severity, and diagnostic context
-
Work order created in CMMS
Your maintenance team gets a preventive task before the asset fails
Instrument your chillers before the next failure
We provision 5–10 sensors per asset as a 60-day proof of concept. No CMMS integration required for the pilot phase.
